Voting Party: Independent conservative, non-democratic or republican
I have always been intimidated by the voting process, and I don’t vote because of my religious beliefs. It's been a long time since I casted a ballot at the polls, but I’m sure I have some political influence, just more so on the advisory and influential side. Input from the Jewish and Christian woman’s perspective as needed can help voters and lawmakers reach political decisions when it comes to general policies, especially those affecting Jews and Christians.
I always feel uneasy about this subject because gender neutrality and LGBTQ philosophies are the standard in this country, and they shape everyone’s idea of females, so most voters and lawmakers don’t really know how to seek my support in this area, and their expectations are based on the views and typical voting behavior of secular women and those who are affiliated with the LGBTQ community a lot of the time.
So here’s something to consider. Jews and Christians typically only deal with issues pertaining to our community in America because our views are too narrow for the majority and the free world. So it’s best that voters and lawmakers tread carefully on requesting my input and building laws and policies for the general public using a Jewish and Christian perspective. My specific recommendations and guidance does not work for anyone living contrary to the scriptures, and that should be common sense.
Jewish and Christian women typically cover psychological impact and act as advisories, not create general laws and policies. I have ideas sometimes, but I typically only think in terms of protecting the autonomy of women and our freedom to choose. Laws and policies that impact people in general are best left up to males because of their broad perspective by nature, but I REALLY appreciate it when they ask me for my input to add balance and to avoid oppressing us on the basis of gender. And contrary to popular belief, women who think like me are not useless or prostitutes. Roles like customer service representative and secretary for example are vital to any business or professional office, and I’m not saying that we are limited to those specific jobs either. I’m simply pointing out that we think differently than males, and we have very different focuses, so we cannot be professionally compared to them or expected to think like them in any role.
In my opinion, using narrow points of view from any perspective to create laws and policies for general population management is one of the root causes of mental illness. Reshaping society takes multiple generations, so there must be a strategic plan in place with step level education to move the country in the direction that is best for its citizens, and it isn’t necessarily what we want all of the time. It starts with young people, honest communication, and the discussion of things that we might not want to hear or talk about.
